Length 3 1/8" Height 7/8" Width 1 7/8" Weight 5 oz. This cephalopod can be found in diverse regions of the oceans, on the ice at Detroit Red Wings Hockey games, and in various concoctions at sushi bars. In the wild, they use three different defensive mechanisms. They can release a cloud of ink into the water and disappear. They have camouflage in color and texture, with special skin cells for color changing and light reflection and regraction, to blend into their environment. They have autotomising limbs, that move for defense or mating, without messages from the brain, but in the arms, themselves. Having both short and long-term memory, they have learned to navigate mazes and problem-solving experiements in the lab. They have also learned to open jars by observing it done. They have three hearts, to pump blood through each of the two gills, while the third pumps blood through the body. They walk on their arms or swim by expelling a jet of water from a contractile mantle, and aimin it via a muscular siphon.
