The lizard is one of the few reptiles that has a voice. An expert in subtle perception, it can sense vibrations in the ground. Its eyes can detect the most subtle of movements, and its hearing is extremely acute. All of those qualities give the lizard the symbolic form of clairvoyance. As if that is not enough cleverness, some lizards' tails come off if a predator tries to catch them. Over time, they just grow a new tail.
